(Big Hairy Audacious Goal)
Change the landscape of leadership.
Did You Know
- Girls are twice as likely as boys to worry that leadership roles will make them seem bossy.
- Between elementary and high school, a girl’s self-esteem drops 3.5 times more than boys.
- Women are more like than men to suffer from imposter syndrome (phenomenon where individuals are plagued with self doubt). Despite all external evidence that they are competent, women still feel like they are a fraud.
- A study showed that replacing a woman’s name with a man’s on a resume can increase her ‘worthiness of hire’ by 60%.
We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit that works primarily with teen and preteen girls educating and encouraging them in the pursuit of business and political leadership positions.
The purpose of our programs is to help girls understand the power and importance of their voice and how to use it to affect change within their communities.
Who We Are
Christina Meade - Founder & Executive Director
A self-described nerd girl, Christina is the Founder and Executive Director of the nonprofit, Nerdy Girl Success. She used her expertise in education, business experience and passion for women’s issues to launch the organization whose mission is to educate and encourage teen girls in the pursuit of business and political leadership positions. Her programs help teen girls understand the power and importance of their voice and how to use it to affect change within their communities.
The limiting beliefs of others can have a huge impact on how we feel about our own abilities. All it takes is one person believing in you and saying ‘you can do it’. Christina is determined to bring that encouragement to women and teen girls by helping them develop into the strong leaders she knows that they already are.
